This department is open to anyone of any age. We hope many of you will catch the vision of homemade literature. Dare to share! ONLY ITEMS REGISTERED ONLINE WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PREMIUM (MONEY).

Rules & Guidelines

1. It is required that every entry be in appropriate taste for family and county fair.
2. The work you submit must be your own.
3. Only one entry is allowed for each class.
4. All entries MUST be registered ONLINE. Parents will be allowed to pick up premium for child.
5. All entrants are invited to attend or be represented at the 2024 Literary Arts Program held on the Pioneer Corner Stage near the Indoor Arena on Thursday, April 18th at 4:30PM for adults and Thursday, April 18th at 5:30PM for youth. You will read your work or you may have it read but it must be well rehearsed. Entry must be edited, if necessary, to fit the time limit of 3 minutes. Check in. You state your name, the title of your entry and read it.
   **Your entry will not be judged on oral presentation but prizes will be awarded to all.
6. Entries must be picked up on Monday, April 22nd between 9:00AM and 5:00PM in the Harmony Building. Items left unclaimed will be taken to the Extension Office to be picked up until April 30th..
7. Premiums may be redeemed the premium bank during the designated hours. Premiums not redeemed by Monday, April 22, at 5:00pm may be redeemed at the Washington County Treasurer’s
   Office at 111 East Tabernacle, St. George. All premiums must be redeemed by May 31, 2024 or the premium will be forfeited.
8. All entries must be finished within the past year, April 2023–April 2024.
